About Kate

I work with converging media, online branding and marketing, the intersection of entertainment and the interactive media, and the exploitation and development of fully cross-platform experiences by traditional entertainment media.

The rise of the power of the consumer/audience is a force I actively seek to promote. Always, I stand where I am and want to continue to be part of creating what's next.

I've been working on the Web and associated electronic media since it was there to be worked on - 1992 (I was about six months late).

I remain fascinated by these developing media and the possibilities arising from electronic and social media for new models for success and the importance of concentrating on customers and users, as well as the creative venues they offer and the possibilities for audience/market creation.

In 1992 I entered Georgia Tech as a member of the first class in their Information, Design and Technology program. I excelled there, concentrating my efforts on balancing and integrating what we now call User Experience and business. Even then what became Social Media was an integral part of being on the Web.

The IDT program left me with an enduring lust for the new, the bleeding edge, the frontier or a little past it, and I now indulge that by working with startups and rising artists.

There are many elements to both electronic and artistic endeavors, I pull those elements together and work with them to design and implement on-line products and Web business strategies that serve their goals and their customers' needs and desires.

Logos and color schemes, online products and usability, e-commerce questions and execution, market identification, server, OS and coding language selections, tone development, rhetorical style and platform choices for social media, are all encompassed in my thinking. I'm a mistress of balancing those elements and so much more to produce the optimal solution for your needs.

My particular gift is an ability to look around the corners no one else has noticed and identify the issues, shortcomings and possibilities others tend to overlook.

The issues are very like those faced by a start-up, and we'll work with you through any and all stages of your career.
